MoU between IIIS and Tangaza University College
International Institute for Islamic Studies and Tangaza University College have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize their existing relationship and to pave the way for future joint activities. The MoU was signed by H.I. Dr. Seyed Mohammad Reza Mohaddes, Vice Director and Deputy of Research of the Institute and the Vice Chancellor Designate of TUC, Prof. Stephen Mbugua, in the presence of H.I. Mohammad Khodami, the head of African affairs/IIIS and Matthias Eder, advisor for interreligious dialogue/ TUC. H.I. Seyed Mohammad Reza Mohaddes and H.I. Mohammad Khodami, participated and taught at Tangaza University College in the first Annual Summer School of Christianity and Islam in Dialogue in Africa (TASSICDA), one of many activities between the institutions that aim at furthering mutual understanding amongst religions and cultures. The Summer School was intended to bridge the knowledge gaps among the followers of the two Abrahamic religions in order to live in harmony with one another. The participants were drawn from as far as Germany, Turkey, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Kenya and other countries. The hosts and organizers of this significant event were Fr. Innocent Maganya, M.A fr (HOD Mission and Islamic Studies) of the Theology School and Matthias Eder (AGEH- CPS).
