Level 4 Program (PhD) in Islamic Studies
The Doctoral program in Islamic Studies at the International Institute for Islamic Studies (IIIS) is designed for advanced seminary graduates who aspire to become leading scholars in the field of Islamic thought and practice. This program emphasizes original research, critical analysis, and scholarly contribution to the academic study of Islam in an international setting.
Program Structure and Duration
The PhD program spans two years of coursework, followed by the writing and defense of a doctoral thesis. The entire program—teaching, supervision, and evaluation—is conducted in English, ensuring academic integration with the global scholarly community.
Admission Requirements
Completion of Level 3 of the Islamic Seminary (Hawzah)
Proven advanced proficiency in English language skills, both written and oral.
Acceptance in the entrance interview.
