This week’s lecture was delivered by H. I. Doagoo in Dar al-Tilawah, Shrine of Lady Masoumah(S.A) on the 1st of February, 2014.
In his speech, H. I. Doagoo described rationality as one of the most important characteristics of Shi’ism and underlined its importance by referring to verses of Quran and related narrations.
To illustrate this intellectual approach of Shia school of thought, he compared some Shia theological teachings with their similar teachings from other religions and schools of thought and explained how Shi’ism gives priority to the role of reason and emphasizes on it.
At the end of the lecture, he mentioned some practical examples in Shia lifestyle and explained the significant results of intellectuality in constructing a moderate and peaceful religious approach for school of Ahlulbayt(A.S).
