This week’s English Lecture was held on May 3rd, 2014 at Dar al-Tilawah hall in the holy Shrine of Lady Masouma (s). This week’s lecturer was H. I. Foroutan.
In this lecture, H. I. Foroutan first introduced taqwa as one of the most fundamental concepts in Islamic ethics and then mentioned that Taqwa’s first pillar is Tawhid.
He then mentioned some hadiths from the Ahl al-Bayt (a) and explained different requirements of Taqwa such as: believing in God and the Day of Judgment, carrying out financial duties, such as paying zakat and observing daily prayers and fulfilling promises.
